eMadani, RM650 Million Dispersed With 6.5 Million Approved

The Unity government’s cash handout program eMadani has seen millions of Malaysian applying since it was announced this week, according to Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Mazlan a total of 6.5 million application has been approved with a total of RM650 million dispersed thus far.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim first announced the eMADANI programme at the launch of the Madani Economy Framework on 27th July 2023 and eligible Maybank customers will be able to claim via the MAE app from 4 December 2023 onwards. 

The RM100 eMADANI credit is allocated for 10 million eligible Malaysians earning an annual income of less than RM100,000; aged 21 years and above or for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah recipients who have not previously claimed for the eBelia Rahmah pay-out. Claims can be made from now until 20 February 2024; and can be used for in-store purchases. Purchases must be made within 4th December to 20th February 2024. 

The initiative by the Ministry of Finance is to nurture cashless spending and stimulate the economy for retail merchants and SME businesses.
