Public Flocks To PDRM’s Traffic Ticket Discount Counter At MADANI Government One Year Programme

The traffic ticket payment counter of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) which offers up to 50 percent discount on the One Year Programme with the MADANI Government here, received a favorable response from the public.

As early as 7 am, people have started queuing up to pay the summons, even though the counter only opens at 9 am.

A food trader from Wangsa Maju Ismail Aziz, 28, said he arrived at Bukit Jalil since 6 this morning, to pay a vehicle summons.

“The opportunity to get a discount of up to 50 percent is not always available…I will take this opportunity even if I have to leave home early.

“I don’t mind standing in long queues and waiting for a long time, because I don’t want my name to be blacklisted because there is a police summons,” he told Bernama.

A lecturer at a private university in the capital Rosnaini Hamzah, 40, said he was willing to come from Klang to Bukit Jalil, just to get a discount on the suit.

“I got information from social media that the PDRM has given a discount on suits. So, this is an opportunity where I can pay a lot of outstanding suits,” he said.

Meanwhile, the traffic police spokesperson said so far there has been no decision regarding the quota to pay the summons, but it depends on the situation.

He said only those who pay the summons in conjunction with the program in Bukit Jalil will get a discount of up to 50 percent.

“In addition, those who have a summons voucher can also get a 50 percent discount, even if the payment is made online,” he said.

According to a police spokesperson, the summons payment counter in Bukit Jalil will be open until 5pm, but it depends on the condition of the people present if it needs to be extended into the night.
