Ranhill Awarded NRW Project For Johor Worth RM283.8 Million

Ranhill through its indirect subsidiary has accepted a Letter of Acceptance of Tender for the Non-Revenue Water Reduction contract in the State of Johor for the period of thirty-six months.

The Key Performance Indicators based contract with specific NRW reduction targets project was awarded by Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd, an 80% owned subsidiary of Ranhill, through a competitive open tender process.

The Project is to be undertaken immediately with Date of Possession of 1 January 2024 and to be completed by 31 December 2026 with a contract value of RM283.8 million.

This is the seventh successive NRW project in Johor secured by RT through competitive open tender process since 2011.  RT has been undertaking NRW project in Johor successfully since its inception in 2005 and has reduced NRW in Johor from over 37% in 2005 to 25.1% as at 30 November 2023.

Apart from Johor, RT has successfully secured NRW reduction projects through competitive bidding process in several states such as Melaka, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis and Pahang.

The Project is part of RanhillSAJ’s operating expenditure and as such will be fully funded by RanhillSAJ.
