Datuk Megat Jalaluddin Megat Hassan has been appointed as the next President and CEO of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), succeeding Datuk Seri Baharin Din.
The appointment, effective from March 1 next year, comes from TNB’s special shareholder Minister of Finance (Inc) and is set for a two-year term until Feb 29, 2026.
Megat Jalaluddin, 58, previously joined TNB in 2006, ventured to Celcom in 2008, and returned to TNB in 2009.
TNB expressed gratitude to Baharin for his contributions.
TNB’s shares closed 0.9% higher at RM9.97, with a market capitalization of RM57.7 billion.
