AmBank Group Secures Four Prestigious Awards At FINCO Annual Awards Ceremony 2023

AmBank Group proudly received four esteemed awards at the Financial Industry Collective Outreach (FINCO) Annual Awards Ceremony 2023, underscoring the bank’s unwavering commitment to community engagement and impactful volunteering initiatives.

The accolades include the “Overall Banking Financial Institution with the Most Volunteers 2023,” recognizing AmBank Group’s significant contribution of 138 instances and up to 539 volunteering hours. Additionally, the bank was honored with the “Best Coordination Lead 2023” award.

Ministry of Education Research and Evaluation Deputy Director, Dr Ruhaya Hassan, AmBank Group’s Chairman Emeritus/Honorary Adviser, Tan Sri Azman Hashim, and FINCO CEO, Clare Walker, were present at the ceremony to celebrate these achievements.

Individual recognitions were also bestowed upon two dedicated volunteers from AmBank Group. ESG & FINCO Programme Coordinator, Special Projects Kartini Miswan, received the “Highest Repeat Volunteer 2023” award for her commitment across 12 instances, accumulating 24.5 volunteering hours.

Meanwhile, Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications & Media Relations, Jeevanaraj a/l Pariyadan, was honored as the “Most Engaging Volunteer 2023.”

AmBank Group Chief Human Resources, Rohani Mustaffa, expressed her gratitude, saying, “At AmBank, we believe in the transformative power of education and financial literacy. These accolades affirm our dedication to nurturing brighter futures by equipping young minds with essential life skills, a cause we proudly champion through our volunteer initiatives.”

AmBank’s involvement in FINCO’s strategic pillars, including English proficiency, life aspiration, financial literacy, and disaster relief, reflects its commitment to fostering holistic growth and resilience within communities.

Mustaffa extended her appreciation to AmBank’s volunteers, stating, “Your time and efforts are the driving force behind our collective mission to create meaningful change, and we are truly privileged to have such remarkable individuals shaping our culture of giving back to society.”

The FINCO Annual Awards Ceremony, held on December 5, 2023, at Azman Hashim Auditorium, Bangunan AICB, was attended by over 200 guests, including representatives from financial institutions, Ministry of Education officials, as well as students, parents, and teachers involved in FINCO programs.

FINCO, guided by Bank Negara Malaysia, aims to empower underprivileged children and youths through educational initiatives under four strategic pillars. Currently, more than 180 AmBankers are actively participating as FINCO volunteers.
