Yoshitoshi Resigns As Aeon Credit’s Independent Director

Tomokatsu Yoshitoshi resigned as independent and non-executive director of Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd effective today (Dec 21).

In a Bursa filing today, said the 71-year-old said resignation came about due to other commitments.

With the resignation for the director post, Yoshitoshi also resigned as the chairman both Remuneration Committee and Nominating Committee, which also took effect today.

“(The new composition of the committee) are (newly-appointed chairman) Datuk Adinan Bin Maning, senior independent non-executive director S Sunthara Moorthy A/L S Subramaniam and independent non-executive director Datin Yasmin Ahmad Merican,” it said.

The Japanese national, who has 44 years of wide range international business experiences, was appointed as an independent and non-executive director on 30 June 2016.

Since 2012, he was an Audit & Supervisory board member at the Financial Products Group Co, Ltd.

He is also an AEON Bank Ltd independent non-executive director as well as the Audit & Supervisory board member at FPG Trust Company Ltd.

There is no details of disagreement with the Board of Directors or matters that need to be brought to the attention of shareholders mentioned in the filing.
