Singaporean Man Injured As Christmas Tree Falls In Pavilion KL

A festive Christmas celebration took a distressing turn for a Singaporean man, Julius Lee, 44, when a decorative Christmas tree hanging from the ceiling of Pavilion KL unexpectedly fell, causing head injuries.

The incident occurred as Julius Lee was capturing a photograph of his wife, Aileen Tan, 39, and their child near the festive decoration.

Aileen Tan recounted the startling event, saying, “My husband was standing outside the merry-go-round to take our picture when suddenly a Christmas tree fell on him. We were surprised and didn’t expect it at all. It happened so fast. Thankfully, my child was with me. She would’ve been hit by the Christmas tree if she was in the stroller.”

The fallen tree left Julius Lee with a swollen head, prompting immediate action by the mall’s management. Aileen Tan expressed gratitude that her child remained unharmed during the incident.

Following the mishap, Julius Lee was swiftly taken to a clinic by the mall’s management for medical attention. The extent of his injuries and his current condition are yet to be disclosed.

Pavilion KL also responded with an official apology over the incident:
