Bursa Lifted At Midday Due To Positive Global Sentiment, Window Dressing

Positive sentiment from global markets and window dressing activities lifted Bursa Malaysia at the midday break on Wednesday.

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) climbed 2.99 points, or 0.21%, to 1,453.77 from Tuesday’s close of 1,450.78.

The FBM KLCI opened 1.59 points better at 1,452.37 and moved between 1,452.08 and 1,455.42 throughout the morning trading session.

On the broader market, gainers led decliners 391 to 379 while 413 counters were unchanged, 1,120 untraded and 56 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.84 billion units valued at RM937.18 million, Bernama reported.
