Besraya the management company of the Sungai Besi Highway will implement a scheduled closure of the U turn at KM15.6 Northbound (near the Chinese school) every evening starting January 2, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
This scheduled closure it said will be implemented on working days from Monday until Friday. The reason behind the closure is to give convenience and smoother traffic flow for local residents around Salak Selatan. The rise in congestion was due to rapid development along the highway such as Kuchai Lama, Pekan Salak Selatan, Bandar Tasik Permaisuri and Taman Salak Jaya it said in a press statement.
During the closure the concessionaire will divert traffic to a U-turn at KM B0.8 (1 kilometers from the original U-turn at KM15.6).
