DS Sigma Holdings Bhd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dai Suwon Packaging Sdn Bhd, has inked a sale and purchase agreement with UMW Development Sdn Bhd for the acquisition of vacant leasehold industrial land in Serendah for approximately RM12.20 million.

In a statement, the packaging solutions provider said the land, which is part of UMW High Value Manufacturing Park and measuring approximately 4 acres, will be used to establish a new factory in Serendah.

“The factory will be manufacturing large paper packaging products as well as other related packaging materials to meet the demand of its new customers in the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry within the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia,” it said today (Dec 29).

Its managing director Lucille Teoh Soo Lien said the decision to establish our new factory in Serendah is perfectly aligned with the growth strategies of the group as we venture into new industries and further diversify our customer base ensuring sustained business growth.

“The new factory not only expands our manufacturing capabilities but also strategically positions us in close proximity to new customers.

“This ensures a steady and reliable supply of packaging products while opening new avenues to explore mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses already established within the area,” she added.
