MMAG Holdings Appoints Chan Swee Ying As Alternate Director

MMAG Holdings Bhd announced that it had appointed Chan Swee Ying as alternative director effective today (Jan 2).

In a Bursa filing today (Jan 2), the loss-making logistics services provider said that Chan, 52, is the spouse of the group’s executive director Chin Boon Long and holds 32.36 million shares or 13.36% stake in the company.

She is also on the board of Ingenieur Gudang Berhad and has more than 20 years of working experience and a strong background in the Information Technology (IT) industry.

“She started her career with Oracle Malaysia in 1996 before moving on to DHL Asia Pacific IT department in year 2015 managing both local and regional projects.

“She is also well experienced in the Human Resources field, having assumed the role of General Manager from 2010 to 2015 at an ICT group of companies as well as assisted in developing business plans to secure financial support from the banking institutions for the company’s growth.

Last July, two founding partners of Kargo Xpress (M) Jets International Sdn Bhd have reportedly filed a RM50 million lawsuit in the High Court against MMAG Holdings Berhad (MMAG) and eight others for conspiracy to injure them.

It has also in September ceased to be a major shareholder of CSH Alliance Bhd after divesting of its entire 16.61% stake in the CSH, together with 194.5 million warrants, for RM37.36 million, according to news report.
