Tengku Ariff Azhar Tengku Mohamed Appointed Maybank Investment Bank Berhad’s Officer-In-Charge

Tengku Ariff Azhar Tengku Mohamed, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (MIBB), has been appointed as the Officer-in-Charge effective Jan 3, following the resignation of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed.

Fad’l joined MIIB as its deputy CEO in 2015 and he was later promoted to the post CEO three years later.

In a press release, Dato’ Muzaffar Hisham, Group CEO of Global Banking at Maybank said, “On behalf of Maybank Group, I extend my deepest gratitude to Dato’ Fad’l for his invaluable contributions over the past nine years. He has played a pivotal role in steering the growth of our investment banking franchise in Malaysia, winning deals and accolades, and supporting the achievement of Maybank’s M25+ strategic priorities. We wish him well in his new undertakings.”

Tengku Ariff will take on the day-to-day management of MIBB in addition to his COO duties, until a new CEO is appointed.
