PADU Registrations Surpass 1 Million Mark; Rafizi Urges Help For Less Digitally Proficient Groups

Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli has confirmed that registrations in the Main Database (PADU) have reached 1 million users as of early Tuesday, including individuals under 18 years old.

Rafizi urged the public to continue the momentum in transitioning to targeted assistance, stating, “I appeal for the cooperation of the public to register through http://padu.gov.my and assist parents, families, and neighbors who are less digitally proficient. If there are poor families around us, please help register them.”

Emphasising further, Rafizi mentioned that the entire government machinery is actively involved in minimising the risk of missing out on PADU registrations to ensure the effective implementation of targeted subsidies.

The PADU system was developed through the internal expertise of the Ministry of Economy, the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), and the Modernisation of Administration and Management Planning Unit of Malaysia (MAMPU), with collaboration and support from various ministries, agencies, and state governments.

All Malaysians aged 18 and above are required to register and check their data through the PADU portal, updating and verifying the 39 required personal information.
