KDEBWM Aims To Reach 250,000 Users On Its iClean App In 2024 To Improve Garbage Disposal

KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM), a wholly-owned unit of state-controlled Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), aims to reach 250,000 users through its iClean mobile app this year.

KDEBWM managing director Dato’ Ramli Mohd Tahir told newsman that the number of registered users of the iClean mobile app has reached 150,000 since it was developed in 2016.

“As long as complaints from the public are received, nearly 98% of the complaints can be resolved within the deadline, including complaints about garbage collection within 12 hours, and complaints about public health within 48 hours.”

He said that the iClean mobile app allows people in Selangor to easily lodge complaints online, so the company hopes to add 100,000 more users to the app this year.

“KDEBWM is also cooperating with local governments and state and national legislators to strengthen the promotion of the iClean mobile application and encourage the public to download and register.”

On the other hand, Ramli noted that the company is committed to improving its service performance this year, including having received approval to take over industrial waste within the Selayang Municipal’s Council’s jurisdiction.

“We have also taken over industrial waste from the Kuala Langat Municipal Council and Kuala Selangor Municipal Council.”

He said the company had also renewed its seven-year garbage service contracts with the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council and Selayang Municipal Council.

To better manage solid waste in Selangor, KDEBWM launched the Selangor iClean mobile app in June 2016.

The public can download the iClean application on Google Play or Apple App Store; or call the hotline 1-800-88-2824/019-375 9592 or WhatsApp 019-274 2824.

In addition, the iClean mobile application won the Best Public Service Application Award at the 23rd PC.Com Awards Ceremony.
