Betamek Business Unaffected By Mirzan Mahathir’s Investigation

Betamek Berhad has issued a statement saying that its business is unaffected by the recent attention surrounding itts Managind Director Mirzan Mahathir.

Mirzam Mahathir the son of former Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad is currently being investigated by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission over alleged ill-gained wealth as published in the Pandora Papers. He has been given 30 days to declare all his assets both in the country and abroad by the regulator.

The company said the on going investigation on its Managing Director is unrelated and that its business as usual without any interruption on the production and delivery of its products to the customers.

Betamek is involved in car systems and solutions with a major contract with Peodua, the group was incorporated in 1989 to manufacture car audio systems and was appointed by Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd to supply car audio systems for their first Kancil model.
