KKB’s Unit Inks MoU With Samsung Engineering To Bid For EPC Jobs

KKB Engineering Bhd’s (KKB) unit, OceanMight Sdn Bhd, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Samsung Engineering Co, LTD (SECL) to bid for project globally involving engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) in the oil and gas (O&G) space.

Based in Seoul, Korea, SECL is a construction and project management company, providing full range of engineering services including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Meanwhile, KKB is engaged in the steel fabrication, civil construction, hot dip galvanizing and the manufacturing of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders.

In a Bursa filing today (Feb 8), the group said under the MoU, both parties are to cooperate and collaborate in the preparation, submission and negotiation of tenders for projects worldwide.

“This may may involve specialized scope of work and supply such as EPC of offshore and onshore oil and gas process modules and structures,” it said.

The MoU will be valid for 2 years subject to the terms of the MOU.

“None of the directors, major shareholders and person connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect in the abovementioned MoU.”
