Bursa Closes Higher At Midday

Bursa Malaysia closed higher at midday on Friday, bolstered by buying support after US stocks ended on a positive note and Asia stock markets gained momentum.

At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) improved 2.55 points to 1,530.93 from Thursday’s close of 1,528.38.

The barometer index, which opened 2.30 points better at 1,530.68, moved between 1,529.30 and 1,534.53 during the session.

Losers were ahead of gainers in the broader market, 463 to 418. Meanwhile, 444 counters were unchanged, 975 untraded and 11 others suspended, Bernama reported.
