Dr. Irmohizam Ibrahim Receives “Professor” Title During UGM 16th Convocation Ceremony

During the 16th Convocation Ceremony of the University Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre yesterday, Datuk Seri Dr. Irmohizam Ibrahim, the Group Managing Director of World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, was honored with the Professor of Practice Award (Strategic Management), conferring him the title of “Professor”. The prestigious professorship was presented by Toh Puan Datuk Wira (Dr.) Hajah Asmah binti Abdul Rahman, the Chancellor of UGM.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this Professor of Practice Award from UGM. As the Pro-Chancellor 1 of UGM, this recognition reflects my dedication in the academic field, and I will do my very best to strive and contribute so that UGM will have a learning environment that not only conveys knowledge but also fosters critical thinking, creativity, and compassion for the progress of society”, said Irmohizam Ibrahim.

Datuk Seri Dr. Irmohizam Ibrahim is well known in the corporate world for his contributions that extend beyond the national level as he hold crucial roles in various esteemed international organisations. Being the first Malaysian to be elected to the prestigious World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Board of Directors headquartered in New York, USA., he also led the Business Events industry in Malaysia and globally.

Datuk Seri Dr. Irmohizam’s dedication to continuous learning and scholarly pursuits sets a commendable example for both academics and professionals. His recent recognition by UGM underscores his significant contributions to the corporate and academic spheres, further solidifying his role as a leader in advancing knowledge.
