Economic Minister Raps Tech Site For Spreading PADU Misinformation

Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli has accused a local tech news portal for spreading misinformation with regards to a message left my hackers ROOTKIT of having hacked into PADU and stolen 27TB of data which happens to be untrue.

According to news site, the hacker ROOTKIT left a message claiming to have hacked into LPPKN which is the National Council for Population and Family Development’s cloud servers. However, the tech site in its social media postings had said that ROOTKIT had hacked LPPKN, PADU and stole the data not realising the PADU refereed here is a unit of LPPKN and not the National Central Database launched by the Prime Minister last year.

Rafizi on his his X account called out the site and reminded the portal to fact check before spreading incorrect information, the Minister also suggested to DM PADUofficial and verifying before publishing inaccurate news.
