Bursa Ends Morning Sessions With Minor Gains

Bursa Malaysia’s main index ended the morning trading session with minor gains as broad selling overshadowed the contribution from YTL Corporation and YTL Power.

At 12.30 pm, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) inched up 0.99 points to 1,546.48 from Thursday’s close of 1,545.49.

The benchmark index opened 0.86 points higher at 1,546.35 and moved between 1,544.18 and 1,551.15 throughout the session.

Losers outpaced gainers 536 to 380, while 423 counters were unchanged, 975 untraded and 36 others suspended.

Turnover amounted to 2.31 billion units worth RM1.49 billion, Bernama reported.
