SC Welcomes Dr. Shahrazat As New Board Member

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has appointed Datuk Dr. Shahrazat Haji Ahmad as its new board member for a two-year term, effective on 15 February 2024.

Datuk Dr. Shahrazat is a Deputy Secretary-General (Investment) at the Ministry of Finance, since October 2023. She also held various senior positions at the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister’s Department, most notably as Deputy Director-General (Development).

The SC Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin said, “Datuk Dr. Shahrazat’s extensive background in finance, coupled with her proven track record in strategic development and investment management positions her as a valuable addition to the SC Board.

“Her expertise and extensive experience in policy formulation will help the SC in achieving its strategic objectives of developing a robust and competitive capital market,” he added.
