SEACare 2024 Strengthens Trade Potential Through Collaborations With MATRADE And MPS

The 24th edition of the Southeast Asian Healthcare & Pharma Show (SEACare) has revealed a revamped approach aimed at bolstering trade and business opportunities within the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the leading business event organiser in Malaysia, SEACare has strategically partnered with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS) to elevate its profile and enhance participant experience.

The collaboration between Qube, MATRADE, and MPS marks a significant milestone in SEACare’s evolution. It introduces innovative business-focused programs, including the introduction of new business facilities and a knowledge-sharing forum.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Qube and MPS was formalised at a soft launch ceremony held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) today, solidifying their commitment to driving industry growth and collaboration.

Qube, Executive Chairman, Richard Teo, expressed his vision for SEACare as a platform to equip Malaysian SMEs with the tools and resources needed to thrive in the global medical and healthcare industry. He highlighted the importance of enhanced trade and business content in accelerating export readiness and fostering sustainable growth for Malaysian companies.

SEACare has historically served as a dynamic platform for global manufacturers and producers in the healthcare, wellness, consumer products, and pharmaceutical industry to converge and showcase their latest innovations in Malaysia. Teo emphasized the aim to broaden SEACare’s scope to include a diverse spectrum of industry players, with participation from over 10 countries already confirmed.

MATRADE’s business matching International Sourcing Programme (INSP) will provide Malaysian participants with invaluable connections to global buyers and distributors at SEACare. Additionally, qualified SMEs can apply for MATRADE’s Market Development Grant to participate in the expo, further facilitating their engagement in international markets.

Teo reiterated the commitment to cementing SEACare’s position as a premier platform for fostering international collaborations and driving industry growth. The event promises expanded networking opportunities, market insights, and business prospects, inviting both Malaysian industry players and global participants to capitalize on this platform for mutual benefit.
