UNESCO reports indicate a transformative shift propelled by Education Technology (EdTech) across Asia. Recognising the critical role of technology in addressing educational issues of access, quality, and relevance, Cambridge and HP have joined forces to launch the ‘HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship’.

The fellowship, designed to empower leaders across education ecosystems, aims to foster a strategic and holistic approach to navigating the EdTech landscape. Through collaboration and knowledge exchange, fellows explore innovative ways to leverage EdTech in addressing critical challenges faced by teachers, students, and societies.

Following the success of its inaugural cohorts in sub-Saharan Africa and the Gulf regions, the fellowship is now extending its reach to leaders across South and Southeast Asia. Since its inception in 2023, the fellowship has welcomed 40 leaders from 18 countries, equipping them with evidence, tools, and insights to drive meaningful change in education.

Participants engage in a hybrid learning format over five months, focusing on evidence-based decision-making and user-centric design principles. The fellowship emphasizes collaboration, effective leadership, and engagement with stakeholders, underpinned by the latest research and trends in education.

The impact of the fellowship is already evident, with participants implementing approaches developed during the programme. Notably, Stanton Pillay, CEO at iTMaster in South Africa, used the fellowship to advance his solution for improving access to technology and skills in rural areas.

Saudi Arabia Talemia,General Manager for E-Learning, Dr. Dalal Alabbasi, praised the program’s rich learning experience and its ability to provide strategic perspective across diverse contexts.

Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Managing Director of Partnership for Education, Jane Mann, highlighted the community of expertise and trust forged among fellows, driving change for learners globally.

HP, Senior Education Business Leader, Mayank Dhingra, emphasised the fellowship’s role in sharpening individuals’ vision and toolbox to utilize EdTech impactfully and equitably.

Applications for leaders from South and Southeast Asia to join the fellowship are now open, with 10 scholarships available. The deadline for applications is at the end of March, offering an opportunity for leaders to become catalysts for educational innovation and transformation in the region.
