Reported the national media agency, as of to-date a total of 49,000 have applied to be citizens of Malaysia based on the number of application the Home Ministry has received.
This was conveyed by Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution who mentioned this during the parliament session here today. However this is a miniscule figure compared to the number of Malaysians who have left the country for better prospects which is estimated to be any between 1.5 to 2 million. Among the country that is attracting migration for locals in Singapore with more than 1 million already have migrated and are probably seeking permanent resident-ship.
