Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil, led the Launch of CelcomDigi Digital Healthcare Solutions, marking a significant step towards advancing Malaysia’s healthcare sector into the digital era.

In his address, Fahmi highlighted the transformative potential of CelcomDigi’s digital healthcare solutions, envisioning a future where healthcare professionals can perform remote surgeries with precision and accuracy, and patients can receive personalized treatment plans based on real-time data collected from wearable devices, all powered by the lightning-fast connectivity of 5G networks.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by Malaysian businesses, particularly in the healthcare sector, Fahmi emphasised the importance of digitalisation in overcoming barriers to care.

He underscored the government’s proactive steps in supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through initiatives like the Geran Digital PMKS Madani, aimed at providing financial assistance to eligible businesses for digital transformation.

Moreover, Fahmi shared insights from his visit to the Norwegian Radium Hospital, where he witnessed groundbreaking collaborations between the hospital and Telenor Group, Norway’s telecommunication giant.

This cutting-edge technology is not only paving the way for faster and more reliable connectivity but also opening doors to unprecedented possibilities in healthcare innovation.” Fahmi said.
