Tourism Malaysia Reveals Eco-Cultural Niche Packages At ITB Berlin 2024

Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, represented by Tourism Malaysia showcased its offerings at the Internationale Tourismus-Borse (ITB) Berlin. The four new niche packages at the event: Pulau Pinang & Kedah Archaeotourism & Geotourism Packages, Perlis Eco Tourism Packages, Dive into the Unimaginable Packages, and Sarawak Delta Geopark & Gawai Packages.

These offerings provide travelers with immersive experiences aligned with Malaysia’s sustainability objectives.

Internationale Tourismus-Borse (ITB) Berlin is the world’s premier travel trade show, running from today until Thursday, March 7, 2024.

This marks Malaysia’s 51st consecutive year participating in the event, underlining its sustained dedication to the German and European markets.

Leading the Malaysian delegation at ITB Berlin 2024 is Deputy Secretary General (Tourism) Dr. Yasmeen Yasim, accompanied by Tourism Malaysia, Senior Director of the International Promotions Division (America, Europe & Oceania), Iskandar Mirza Mohd Yusof.

The delegation comprises 61 participants from 38 organisations, including seven state tourism boards, 15 tour operators, 14 hotels and resorts, and one tourism-related service provider.

ITB Berlin provides a vital platform for participants to network and explore collaborative opportunities with industry players from Germany and Europe.

It also serves as an avenue for Malaysia to bolster its global presence and promote the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year scheduled for 2026.

At the event, the Malaysia Pavilion, occupying 504 square meters of space in Hall 26a Booth No. 117, was inaugurated today by Malaysian Ambassador to Germany H.E. Datin Paduka Dr. Adina Kamarudin.

It showcases the best travel products, destinations, and services Malaysia has to offer, along with a wau-making demonstration, showcasing the timeless artistry of Malaysian culture.
