Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur Marks Milestone With Topping-Out Ceremony

Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur, part of the KL Midtown development project, reached a significant milestone with the topping-out ceremony of its hotel tower. This celebration marks the completion of the building’s superstructure, bringing it closer to its anticipated opening.

Designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, the hotel promises a blend of Malaysian heritage and modern elegance.

KL Midtown, spanning 8.95 acres of prime land, aims to become a vibrant hub within the KL Metropolis master plan. Apart from the hotel tower, the development includes office towers, residential towers, a retail mall, and a corporate office tower.

Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd, Chairman, Thomas Karl Rapp, highlighted the partnership with the Hyatt Group and the commitment to excellence in hospitality. The hotel’s design incorporates sustainable elements, earning it the prestigious Provisional GreenRE Gold Award.

With construction progressing steadily, the interior fit-out for the hotel is underway. Upon completion, the Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur will offer luxurious accommodations, a grand ballroom, event venues, and specialty restaurants managed by the Hyatt Group.

KL Midtown’s retail space, anchored by AEON, will provide diverse shopping, dining, and entertainment options for the community.
