Samaiden Signs PPA With Maxell Tohshin Malaysia

Samaiden Group Berhad signs Power Purchase Agreement with Maxell Tohshin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd a company engaged in the design and manufacture of ultra-precision molds and the assembly of camera and automotive parts.

This agreement is for 20 years, where Samaiden will undertake the design and installation of an advanced solar PV system,
boasting a capacity of 1,028.28-kilowatt peak (kWp) at Maxell Tohshin’s premises. The group notes the initiative is expected to significantly curtail carbon emissions from manufacturing operations, projecting an estimated carbon dioxide (CO2) avoidance of 974.66 tonnes per year, which aligns with both companies’ visions for a greener industrial future.

Managing Director of Maxell Tohshin, Mr. Nobuki Yahiro added: “Our partnership with Samaiden through this PPA is a significant stride towards embedding sustainability into our core operations.
