Fahmi Launches TM’s e-Farmasi Solution To Enhance Healthcare Services

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil launched Telekom Malaysia (TM) new solution to enhance healthcare services, e-Farmasi.

This solution, aimed at expediting the digital transformation of healthcare services, focuses on e-prescription through teleconsultation.

“This solution aims to accelerate the digitisation of healthcare service providers, especially the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) segment.

It is a continuation of the collaboration between the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS) during the PEDi MADANI Conference held in November 2023.” Fahmi said.

The initiative aligns with the government’s objective to establish a connected healthcare system that amalgamates industry expertise, regulatory standards, user-friendly platforms, and consumer-centric services.

The introduction of e-Farmasi signifies a significant leap forward in deploying technology to empower pharmacists, enabling them to provide pharmaceutical services to a broader segment of the population, particularly those in rural areas.

Leveraging the Digital MSME Grant (GDPM) offered by the government, eligible pharmacies and healthcare centers stand to receive up to a 50% rebate for connectivity services and e-Farmasi solutions.

This initiative not only enhances operational efficiency and productivity but also underscores the government’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to all citizens.
