The Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR) will host the ASEAN Green Jobs Forum 2024 on April 24 and 25, 2024, at Hotel EQ Kuala Lumpur. The forum, organised in collaboration with the Australian government through Aus4ASEAN Digital Transformation and Future Skills Initiative, The Asia Foundation, and the ASEAN Secretariat, aims to encourage the development of green jobs in line with the region’s economic and sustainable environmental needs.
MOHR, through its agency PERKESO, will also organise the MYFutureJobs Green Job Fair 2024, offering 3000 job opportunities from selected companies. The fair invites job seekers to participate from April 25 to 27, 2024, at Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur, targeting individuals from various backgrounds and societal layers.
In conjunction with the MYFutureJobs Green Job Fair 2024, KESUMA, through TalentCorp, will host the Green Skills Fair at Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur.
This skills-related program will involve government ministries and agencies, industries, academic institutions, and non-governmental organisations.
Various engaging activities such as pocket talks and interactive sessions for families, including the Green Tech Showcase and Skill-Building Sessions, will be conducted. Additionally, exhibitions showcasing green products will be featured throughout the event.
The inaugural Green Jobs event underscores MOHR’s commitment to empowering green employment and a just transition, aligning with Malaysia’s readiness to assume the ASEAN chairmanship in 2025.
