The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS), renowned as the world’s largest Halal expo, is set to make its mark in the Middle East with the launch of MIHAS@Dubai.
This milestone event will coincide with the Middle East Organic and Natural Product Expo, set to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from November 18-20, 2024.
The strategic alignment underscores the UAE’s emergence as a pivotal global Halal hub, reflecting the rapid growth within the industry.
Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Chairman, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican revealed this exciting development, highlighting MIHAS@Dubai’s aim to tap into the immense potential of the Halal market in the Middle East.
This initiative not only reinforces MIHAS’ stature as a premier global trade show but also positions Malaysia as a key player in the international Halal landscape.
Emphasising Malaysia’s longstanding leadership in the Halal sector, Merican cited governmental efforts to enhance the Halal ecosystem, including research advancements and infrastructure development.
In line with Malaysia’s ambition to be the global Halal hub, MATRADE drives the internationalization of domestic Halal products and services through MIHAS, a flagship event since 2004.
According to Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, CEO of MATRADE, MIHAS holds distinction as the largest Halal trade show globally, endorsed by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). The event serves as a vital platform for Malaysian Halal SMEs to connect, network, and transact with international counterparts, fortifying the Halal ecosystem.
MIHAS@Dubai 2024 aims to host 150 to 200 participants, showcasing a diverse range of Malaysian Halal products and services.
With MIHAS joining forces with the Dubai Organic Expo, the Middle East Organic and Natural Products Expo will evolve into a comprehensive hub for the Halal industry in the region, offering an expanded array of offerings.

MIHAS continues to provide a robust marketplace for international and local players, encompassing various sectors beyond Halal food, including pharmaceuticals, finance, modest fashion, and green technologies.
Scheduled annually at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur, MIHAS’ 20th edition is slated for September 17-20, 2024.
