EdgePoint Partners Celcom Timur To Provide Last-Mile Infra In Sabah

EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd, part of EdgePoint Infrastructure has partnered with Celcom Timur Sabah to provide last-mile infrastructure, as part of their commitment to enhancing connectivity in East Malaysia.

Through this partnership, CT Sabah will connect its backbone network with EdgePoint’s telecommunications infrastructure at an estimated 50 sites in Sabah. This collaboration will also enable EdgePoint to offer complete fiberised structures for mobile network operators (MNOs) by connecting their existing and upcoming structures across the state to CT Sabah’s fibre network.

Muniff Kamaruddin, Chief Executive Officer of EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd commented, “By combining the strengths of EdgePoint and CT Sabah, we are able to build robust digital infrastructure that will bring meaningful connectivity to the people of Sabah.  This is in line with our commitment to support national digitalisation efforts and promote digital equity in our country.”

EdgePoint currently own 1500 sites in Malaysia, out of which 71 are in East Malaysia.
