AmanahRaya, SPNB Offer Hibah And Will With Rumah Mesra Rakyat Purchases

Amanah Raya Berhad (AmanahRaya) and Syarikat Perumahan Negara Malaysia (SPNB) have forged a collaborative strategic agreement. The momentous event, themed “Amanah Terpelihara, Kediaman Terbina,” was graced by the presence of Malaysia’s Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, at a ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The collaborative agreement aims to benefit eligible Malaysians with household incomes below RM5,000.00 who purchase SPNB’s Rumah Mesra Rakyat. Under this arrangement, homebuyers will automatically be offered AmanahRaya’s Hibah and Will as part of legacy planning for the homes purchased.

Speaking on behalf of AmanahRaya, Chairman Tan Sri Idrus Harun expressed his gratitude for the strategic collaboration with SPNB. He highlighted the importance of estate planning and wealth management through Hibah and Will instruments, emphasizing their role in safeguarding the welfare of heirs in the event of the homeowners’ demise. Tan Sri Idrus Harun underscored how this initiative aligns with the government’s Malaysia MADANI framework, underscoring the commitment to the welfare of Malaysian citizens.

Datuk Husam Musa, Chairman of SPNB, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting SPNB’s commitment to providing quality and sustainable affordable housing to Malaysian families. He emphasised how the collaboration would add value to SPNB’s People-Friendly Housing Programme (RMR), ensuring continuous house ownership by heirs in the future.

The agreement, signed by AmanahRaya Group Managing Director, Encik Ahmad Feizal Sulaiman Khan, and SPNB Acting Chief Executive Officer, Encik Zahanuddin Kamarudin, was witnessed by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Tan Sri Idrus Harun, and Datuk Husam Musa.

Both AmanahRaya and SPNB are wholly-owned by the Malaysian government under the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MKD). The collaboration between these esteemed entities marks a significant step forward in promoting homeownership and securing the welfare of Malaysian families through effective estate planning.
