The Ministry of Health released a statement that it has approved of import license application for clinical trials of biological products For First-In-Human clinical trials making the country the first to do so in the Southeast Asia.
The committee said the approval will be for biological product to be used in areas for cancer advanced solid tumour. Clinical trials is to be conducted at the Sarawak public hospital as one of the centres approved for First In Human testing.
Biological products are a diverse group of medicines which includes vaccines, growth factors, immune modulators, monoclonal antibodies, as well as products derived from human blood and plasma.
