The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs said it is intensifying efforts to alleviate the cost of living with the expansion of its RAHMAH MADANI Sales Program for the upcoming Hari Raya from April 4 to April 9, 2024.
Under the program, essential goods will be offered at discounted rates, ranging from 10 to 30 percent off the original selling price. In addition to the usual sale of dry goods, the PJR will feature special offers on daily necessities essential for the Raya preparation, including chicken, beef, rice, spices, and more.
The Aidilfitri PJR will be implemented across 302 scheduled locations nationwide.
Additionally, during this Ramadan month, the Ministry said it had already executed the Ramadan PJR at 452 locations nationwide, running from March 12 to April 3, 2024. This initiative exceeded the initial target of 450 series.
The initiative is part of the efforts under the Unity Government’s effort to mitigate the burden of living expenses for the people it said.
