Bursa Moves Marginally Lower At Midday

Bursa Malaysia remains marginally lower at midday due to profit-taking activities in tandem with most regional markets.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) declined by 2.92 points or 0.19% to 1,550.59 from Tuesday’s close of 1,553.51.

The benchmark index opened 0.58 of a point higher at 1,554.09 and moved between 1,548.27 and 1,556.64 throughout the morning trading session.

On the broader market, losers beat gainers 499 to 478, while 441 counters were unchanged, 925 untraded and 11 others suspended.

Turnover amounted to 2.23 billion units worth RM1.45 billion.
