US Secretary of State, Anthony J Blinken in an official statement released today with regards to the early morning attack by Iran said the United States condemns Iran’s attack on Israel in the strongest terms however it does seek to see an escalation.
The statement read “While we do not seek escalation, we will continue to support Israel’s defense, and as the President made clear, we will defend U.S. personnel. I will be consulting with allies and partners in the region and around the world in the hours and days ahead.”
Blinken’s response comes after Iran launched a series of missiles and drones over to the Jewish state this morning in response of an earlier attack by Israelis.
As of now, Iran has warned Israel to not retaliate but President Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to not keep quite on this latest attack. The world is holding with bated breath on what will the next outcome will be in the conflict zone.
Meanwhile, commercial airlines are labelling the area as no fly zone.
