Dato’ Sri Dr Irmohizam bin Ibrahim, the Group Managing Director of World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU) of Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM).
The appointment, effective from 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2026, aims to leverage Dato’ Sri Dr Irmohizam’s wealth of experience and expertise in the field of law.
The appointment letter was presented to him by USIM Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ts Dr Sharifudin Md Shaaran and witnessed by USIM Registrar, Dato’ Muhammad Haizuan Rozali, FSU Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nik Salida Suhaila Nik Saleh,and FSU Deputy Dean Academic, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Izawati Wook.
Dr Irmohizam’s role as an Adjunct Professor will involve sharing his extensive knowledge and insights in the field of law. He will act as an advisor to FSU, provide inputs on curriculum development, deliver lectures, participate in dialogues and seminars, and contribute to promoting USIM in various national and international platforms.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the appointment, Dr Irmohizam emphasised his commitment to contributing positively to the growth and development of FSU USIM. With his diverse experiences and background, he aims to provide new perspectives to the members of FSU USIM.
Dr Irmohizam holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) (Hons.) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), an Advanced Diploma in Shariah Law and Legal Practice (DSLP), and a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
Currently pursuing his third PhD in Defence Management & Administration at the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM), he is renowned for his excellence in the field of law and has served as a Law lecturer at the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, and is currently a Senior Partner at Ganesan & Irmohizam Advocates & Solicitors.
This appointment not only underscores Dato’ Sri Dr Irmohizam’s dedication to academia but also highlights the commitment of USIM towards fostering collaboration with industry experts for the benefit of students and the wider academic community.
