Berjaya Food Introduces Paris Baguette To Philippines

Malaysia’s Berjaya Food Berhad (BFood) is set to revolutionise the culinary scene in the Philippines with the introduction of Paris Baguette, the renowned French-inspired South Korean bakery café, at SM Mall of Asia (SM MOA) in Metro Manila.

Paris Baguette, owned by the esteemed SPC Group, blends French sophistication with Korean culinary finesse since its inception in 1988, captivating hearts and taste buds worldwide.

In a monumental move in August 2023, BFood signed a master franchise agreement with Philippine’s Middle Trade Inc. and Paris Baguette Singapore, ushering in a new era of gastronomic delight in the Philippines. Under this visionary pact, BFood’s unit, Berjaya Food (International) Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with Middle Trade Inc., assumes the role of Paris Baguette’s local operations under Berjaya Paris Baguette Philippines.

The grand opening of the bakery café was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the Ambassador of South Korea to the Philippines, SPC Group, President and CEO, Lee Sang-Hwa, Berjaya Food Berhad, Group CEO, Hur Jin-soo, Berjaya Paris Baguette Philippines, Chairman, Datuk Sydney Quays, Berjaya Paris Baguette Philippines, Vice Chairman, Frederick Siy, Paris Baguette Southeast Asia, CEO, Hana Lee, and SM Supermalls, President, Steven Tan.

Guests savored Paris Baguette’s global favorites like the silky roll, strawberry yoghurt cake, and flakey-buttery croissants, alongside the Philippines-exclusive Ube Series and Ensaïmada, showcasing the brand’s innovation while honoring local tastes.

Sydney Quays expressed enthusiasm for the brand’s future, unveiling ambitious expansion plans, including opening four additional stores in strategic locations across the Philippines and venturing into other ASEAN markets.

Paris Baguette, with over 3400 stores in South Korea, expands its global footprint to nearly 4000 locations across Malaysia, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, China, France, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, and now the Philippines, becoming a beloved destination for exceptional French-inspired baked goods and ambiance.
