At midday, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) continued to show strength, maintaining its position comfortably above the 1,600-point threshold amidst a widespread uptrend in the stock market.
By 12:30 pm, the FBM KLCI had climbed 11.97 points to reach 1,609.36, marking an uptick from Monday’s closing figure of 1,597.39.
The index, which began the day 3.46 points higher at 1,600.85, fluctuated between 1,600.66 and 1,609.99 throughout the session.
In the broader market, the number of advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones, with gainers leading decliners at 566 to 426. Meanwhile, 473 counters remained unchanged, with 848 stocks not seeing any trading activity, and 14 others being suspended.
