IHH Healthcare Invests In Belun Technology To Enhance Sleep Disorder Diagnosis

Sleep disorders pose a significant global health challenge, affecting up to 45% of the world’s population. Despite being largely preventable or treatable, less than one-third of sufferers seek professional help.

Recognising the urgency of addressing this epidemic, IHH Healthcare has made a strategic investment in Belun Technology, a pioneering company specialising in AI-powered sleep diagnostic and screening solutions.

Belun Technology’s breakthrough wearable ring and software, cleared by the US FDA, revolutionise the detection and diagnosis of sleep apnea. This innovative device offers a convenient and accessible alternative to traditional sleep studies, allowing patients to undergo tests from the comfort of their homes.

By collecting extensive data and generating detailed clinical reports, Belun empowers physicians and sleep specialists to formulate personalised treatment plans for patients, thereby improving long-term preventative care.

IHH Healthcare, Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Prem Kumar Nair emphasised the importance of leveraging AI and innovative technologies to enhance patient care. He said, “Our investment in Belun underscores our commitment to enhance care and services to our patients through the strategic adoption of AI and other innovative technologies. By partnering with promising ventures, we are expanding our capabilities and creating value across the healthcare continuum.”

Belun Technology, Chief Executive Officer, Lydia Leung then highlighted the significance of detecting health abnormalities during sleep and emphasised Belun’s commitment to delivering personalised treatment and health insights through wearable medtech and AI.

Through this investment, IHH Healthcare aims to make the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders more convenient and accessible across its global network. In addition to offering the Belun platform at its clinics and hospitals, IHH is exploring further collaboration with Belun to address other health conditions linked to sleep disorders.
