MDEC Facilitates Collaboration Between Malaysian-Indonesian Tech Companies

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) continues its commitment to driving Malaysia’s digital economy forward by facilitating collaboration between more than 70 Malaysian tech companies and their Indonesian counterparts.

This initiative, known as the DEX Connex Indonesia programme, aims to expand market reach and foster synergy between the two nations’ tech industries.

During the programme, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged between Malaysian and Indonesian tech companies. These agreements encompass various key components, including enhancing ICT solutions and services, empowering young individuals through upskilling initiatives, establishing regional powerhouses in digital solutions, and expanding business footprints.

Among the notable partnerships forged were:

  • CTAPPS MSC Sdn Bhd and PT Primedia Armoekadata Internet, focusing on enhanced ICT solutions.
  • ReSkills and JCI, collaborating to empower young individuals through globally certified learning opportunities.
  • Innoveam Sdn Bhd and PT Inovasi Multimedia, marking the start of Innoveam’s plans to become a regional powerhouse in 3D-based digital solutions.
  • WAHDAH Technologies Sdn. Bhd and PT Domo Manajemen Grup (Dokter Mobil), expanding car rental and sharing services into Indonesia.

Additionally, Memorandums of Agreement (MoAs) were exchanged between other Malaysian and Indonesian tech companies, further strengthening collaboration in various sectors.

The DEX Connex programme provided a vital platform for participants to engage, expand networks, and showcase Malaysian technological expertise, fostering closer ties between companies from both nations. Supported by various governmental and industry organisations, including the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta and MATRADE Jakarta, the programme aims to create RM250 million in digital export opportunities, contributing significantly to ASEAN’s digital economy growth.
