AIA PUBLIC Takaful’s ‘Kongsi Rezeki Programme’ Pledges RM800,000 Towards Community Enrichment

AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd. (AIA PUBLIC Takaful) today reaffirmed its commitment to community enrichment and wellbeing by pledging RM800,000 to its ‘Kongsi Rezeki’ programme – a community initiative in collaboration with the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA).

The announcement was made by Elmie Aman Najas, Chief Executive Officer of AIA PUBLIC Takaful during the Takaful operator’s Aidilfitri open house held at Dewan Perdana Felda in conjunction with the festive month of Syawal.

The contribution will be channelled towards supporting 15 orphanage homes who are the beneficiaries of the Kongsi Rezeki Programme, throughout the year. The funds will provide crucial support in the form of daily supplies, other essential resources as well as enhancing the physical and mental wellbeing of the underprivileged children through various activities.

Speaking at the event, Elmie shared that the pledge underscores the company’s commitment in driving meaningful changes that brings positive impact to the communities it serves.

“Recognising the importance of supporting initiatives that uplift and empower our communities, it is vital we continue playing our part as a responsible corporate citizen. With this added allocation, we are not only expanding the reach of the programme but also amplifying the impact, enabling more opportunities for the children to lead healthier, longer, better lives.”

Launched in 2021, the Kongsi Rezeki programme places a strong emphasis on promoting community well-being and enrichment, with a focus on enhancing the physical and emotional welfare of underprivileged children.

The four orphanages present at the event today are amongst the 15 beneficiaries enlisted under the Kongsi Rezeki programme. Through different phases of the programme, these orphanages have received brand new laptops, living necessities such as bed frames and mattresses as well as other daily supplies worth RM500,000, benefiting more than 800 children.

The programme is also part of AIA PUBLIC Takaful’s Penyala Harapan campaign; demonstrating the company’s dedication in supporting the community in realising their hopes and dreams to achieve Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
