The Ministry of Finance (MOF) today advised the public to be vigilant of attempts by irresponsible parties who use the official Rahmah Cash Donation/Rahmah Basic Donation line to contact people at random and ask them to pay a large amount of money.
People are reminded to continue to file a police report if such calls are received.
MOF does not allow any third party to use the line or any other MOF official phone number. MOF officials are also not allowed to collect payments from people for any purpose.
The public are urged to call MOF’s Rahmah Cash Donation/Rahmah Basic Donation helpline at 03-8882 4565/4566 for any questions regarding the two aid programmes.
