Qatar Airways Partners With MotoGP As Official Airline And Cargo Carrier

Qatar Airways has cemented a three-year partnership as the Official Airline Partner and Qatar Airways Cargo as the Official Cargo Airline Partner of MotoGP. The collaboration, spanning multiple years, builds upon the triumph of Qatar Airways’ inaugural Grand Prix title sponsorship in 2023 and the recent 2024 edition held from March 8th to 10th.

As the Official Cargo Airline of MotoGP, Qatar Airways Cargo, renowned as the world’s leading cargo carrier, will undertake the crucial responsibility of air transporting race and bike equipment for all MotoGP races across the globe.

Commenting on the partnership, Qatar Airways, Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, expressed the airline’s commitment to bolstering Qatar’s status as a premier hub for motorsports. He highlighted the successful staging of the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar as a fitting inauguration for the partnership, blending the realms of aviation and motorsports seamlessly.

Qatar Airways Cargo, Chief Officer Cargo, Mark Drusch emphasised the airline’s capability to transport automobiles by air, leveraging its status as the largest air cargo carrier globally. Drusch underlined the enthusiasm of the cargo team towards this inaugural sports partnership with Dorna Sports, looking forward to facilitating the transportation of motorcycles to various global events.

Qatar’s emergence as a prominent motorsports hub is underscored by its investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure, facilitating fan travel to international racing competitions via Qatar Airways’ extensive commercial passenger network spanning over 170 destinations worldwide.

The partnership between Qatar Airways and MotoGP is poised to cater to the growing Asian fan base, given Qatar Airways Cargo’s robust network encompassing 88 destinations in Asia alone.
