FBM KLCI Dips 5.41 Points As Investors Lock In Profits

Investors took a break on Tuesday to secure profits after recent strong gains, leading to a dip in the FBM KLCI. The index fell by 5.41 points, or 0.33%, closing at 1,622.09 and ending a three-day winning streak.

Decliners outpaced gainers with a ratio of 726-to-470 stocks, resulting in a market breadth of 0.60, indicating stronger control by the bears.

Traded volumes decreased to 5.43 billion shares, valued at RM4.23 billion.

The losses were largely driven by selling pressure on banking and plantation stocks.
