Bursa Malaysia Slips With Over 800 Stocks In The Red

Bursa Malaysia ended the day broadly lower, with over 800 stocks in the red, reflecting regional equity declines due to profit-taking in index-linked stocks.

At the close, the FBM KLCI had dropped 9.78 points, or 0.6%, to 1,619.40 after reaching an intraday high of 1,624.96. Despite this, the benchmark index gained 0.17% for the week.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones 845 to 450, while 442 counters remained unchanged. The total trading volume was 5.6 billion shares, with a value of RM4.58 billion.
