At midday, Bursa Malaysia experienced a slight decline as investors engaged in profit-taking. By 12:30 PM, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI had dipped by 0.01% or 0.21 points, settling at 1,619.19 points, down from Friday’s close of 1,619.40.

The key index began the day at 1,620.67, fluctuating between 1,618.36 and 1,622.40 throughout the morning session. The broader market trend was negative, with 578 decliners outpacing 487 gainers, while 485 counters remained unchanged.
