The owner and shareholders of Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur have refuted recent media reports suggesting that the hotel is being sold for nearly RM700 million.
Tan Sri Sallehuddin Mohamed, Chairman of Ampang Hotel Sdn Bhd, which fully owns the 581-room hotel, clarified that Concorde Hotel is not up for sale.
“Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur continues to thrive, driven by the hard work of our dedicated team and the loyalty of our customers. Our business is performing exceptionally well, achieving strong results. Our shareholders are pleased with the progress and direction we are taking,” Sallehuddin said in a statement.
The 33-year-old hotel, located on 1.8 hectares of freehold land along Jalan Sultan Ismail, will continue to operate and focus on enhancing its services while expanding its offerings to provide the best experience for customers.
“We value the ongoing support and look forward to welcoming our guests for many years to come,” Sallehuddin added.
This comes in response to recent media reports citing unnamed sources, which claimed that the hotel might be sold and potentially demolished to make way for a multi-billion ringgit integrated development.
