RON97, Diesel Prices Drop Again

In line with the fluctuations in global crude oil prices and the ringgit’s strengthening, the Government agrees to reduce the retail prices of RON97 and Diesel.

The retail price of RON97 has been reduced by 6 sen per litre to RM3.19 per litre.

While the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia has been reduced by 6 sen per litre to RM2.95 per litre.

Since 8 August 2024, the Government has lowered diesel’s retail price in Peninsular Malaysia by 40 sen, and RON97’s retail price by 28 sen.

The retail prices of petroleum products from 19 September 2024 to 25 September 2024 are as follows:

(i) the retail price of RON97 reduced by 6 sen at RM3.19 per litre;

(ii) the retail price of RON95 petrol remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre;

(iii) the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia reduced by 6 sen at RM2.95 per litre; and

(iv) the retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Finance today, the Government said they will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people.
